PC (Polycarbonate) FDM Filament

FDM Thermoplastic
PC FDM Filament With High Impact Strength

Polycarbonate FDM filament is a strong, dimensionally stable, heat-resistant thermoplastic notable for its high impact strength. These characteristics mean the parts you print retain their shape and dimensional accuracy. In addition, polycarbonate’s high impact strength provides toughness, making it a suitable material for high-durability applications that include functional prototyping, manufacturing tooling, and low-volume end-use parts.

Compared to other unfilled FDM engineering plastics, PC offers one of the most durable materials relative to strength and toughness. FDM PC also offers high compression strength for this class of materials and can be used for metal-forming dies for production quantities in the range of 500 to 1000 units or to validate tool design before investing in final tooling.

In addition to the standard white color, black and red are available from the Stratasys Validated Material portfolio. Stratasys Validated Materials are developed by Stratasys or a third-party provider, meet Stratasys quality standards and have received basic reliability testing for use with Stratasys FDM printers.

Polycarbonate FDM filament offers a strong yet lower-cost solution compared to high-performance and filled thermoplastics for applications that require durable mechanical properties.
